“Nothing really I got bored after I finish watering the garden, so I decided to take a walk.”
“Heh R-Really? Do you mind if I join you?” Rin asked as he began to scratch the back of his head as a gently smile formed on his face.
Yukio hadn’t really expected Rin to open the door. In fact, he hadn’t really expected him to react at all. Normally, the young exorcist’s temper would’ve flared up if he had been hit in the face with a pillow, but this time, he just felt oddly relieved. At least he wasn’t completely ignoring him, right? As he held the pillow in his hands, he pressed his forehead against the door and closed his eyes. “Look, I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to miss our birthday and the holidays with you. My missions went on longer than I, as well as the other exorcists, expected… I really wish I had been here so we could’ve celebrated together,” he said softly as he let out a small sigh. “I’m sorry I left you alone… Could you forgive me?”
Looking down he walked towards the door to sit down on the floor resting his back against the wall. Listening to his words he felt a little stupid to react like that, his hand went to his forehead closing his eyes. After his young brother finished of say his explanation Rin began to think about it for a few minutes. A deep silence around them. “Tsk…” His proud was too big to accept he was wrong but doing the opposite it was the last thing he wanted to do. With jerky movements he stood up to turn the knob again, but this time he let the door move to create an entrance for his brother. In the moment the door opened, the older Okumura turned to the other side avoiding his brother’s presence although he wasn’t so angry as before. Crossed arms as his blue gaze went down.
Although Yukio couldn’t fully understand what Ukobach was trying to say to him, he knew from the little demon’s expressions and movements that he used to try and express his words that it wasn’t all that nice… or polite. He sat back in his chair and closed his eyes with another sigh, feeling the guilt more than ever. Suddenly, he heard the familiar sounds of his twin’s footsteps enter the room, making his eyes snap open again to look at his twin. Unfortunately, one of Yukio’s guesses were correct. Rin wouldn’t even glance at him. Just as quickly as he came, the older Okumura left the room, but Yukio knew that if they were to fix this problem, he had to face him somehow. The younger twin quickly followed, only to find the door to their room locked. “Nii-san, open the door… Please?”
He had any intentions to let him enter, one step back after heard his voice, gaze looking for something to attack him but nothing was useful Without hesitate Rin grabbed an old pillow, his hand turned the door knob to open it but quickly without let him enter, he throw the pillow at his face, and just 3 seconds after his action, he decided to close the door again. “GET OUT STUPID FOUR EYES!” Rin yelled as he switched all his strength to his hands to push the door as hard as he could. Clenched fists and, staring at the wall between him and his brother, a blush on his cheeks and a little embarrassed for act like that, but he was too hurt to just ignore the situation. In part he wanted to see him, it had been a while, but all the actions that he was doing now was making things more difficult.
Yukio entered the old building as quietly as he possibly could, which he found quite difficult since the aged door tended to creak with every movement. He had come back from another mission, but he had yet to see Rin ever since he had missed both their birthday and New Years. He felt almost… afraid of how the older Okumura would react. Would he be angry? Sad? Or would he ignore him completely? He wasn’t so sure. Once he was inside, he wandered into the kitchen, where Ukobach glared at him accusingly. The young exorcist smiled back weakly and sat in a nearby chair with a long sigh.
“Nii-san probably hates me now, right?”
After a long nap, the older Okumura went downstairs to go to the kitchen to cook something, he wasn’t in the mood to go outside, the recent events that he had to spend alone made him feel like that. Tired eyes, and a slowly walk until he reached the door, but for his surprise there was someone else besides Ukobach. A slightly frown, narrowed eyes as he walked ignoring the other. Like if he wasn’t there he went to the table to grab a cup and serve some coffee. He drank still concious that his brother was behind him, hands placed the cup on the table again, and quickly he run upstairs to shut himself inside their room.
